What Is AA? Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. Participation is completely anonymous. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. A.A.’s primary purpose is to help alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

What AA Is:

• AA allows members to share their experience with anyone seeking help for a drinking problem
• AA provides meetings, literature, and support for those with a desire to stop drinking.
• AA shares the AA program, set forth in 12 steps, that helps members develop a satisfying life without alcohol
• AA provides informational sessions and education for professionals and organizations interested in learning more about AA

What AA Is Not:

• AA does not solicit membership, keep track of its members, or have any requirements for its members other than a desire to stop drinking
• AA is not a treatment program, rehab, professional service, or charity
• AA does not provide diagnosis, counseling, hospitalization, or any medical or psychiatric treatment
• AA is not a religious organization, flophouse, or transportation service
• AA does not accept any money for its services, or any contributions from non-A.A. sources

You may be an alcoholic or just looking to see if you are. Can we offer a few things to look into?

• "This Is A.A." is a FREE downloadable pamphlet from Alcoholics Anonymous Download "This Is A.A" by clicking here
• Instead of driving to a bar right now, drive to the closest club or meeting. The bar will still be there, if you don't like the meeting.

Service Meetings

Service (12th Step Work) is the cornerstone of our recovery. We invite you to choose from the options below to contribute to carrying the message for the still suffering alcoholic. Your experience, strength, and hope is needed and appreciated.

• Intergroup/Central Office
  Presently, Intergroup is taking care of the functions of a Central Office. Kingman Intergroup meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7pm following the 5:30 meeting at Northern Lights Meeting Hall.

• Steering Committee
  The Steering committee meets the 1st Wednesday of each month @ 7pm after the 5:30 meeting. Location: 2170 Northern ights Avenue, Suite A
• Mohave County Jail- Men
  Access to the jail has been restored!!
  Prior clearance is required to attend. This process may take a long time!

• GSR Meeting District 09-901
  Meetings have resumed!! District still needs a DCM! Third Wednesday of every month at:
